Neurology and Neurophysiology team

Our team of neurologists and clinical neurophysiologists provide onsite testing for nerve conduction studies and electromyography for the Ballarat community.  Dr Belinda Cruse and Dr Matthew Linger are Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology specialists.

Belinda completed her medical degree at the University of NSW in 2006 and completed her Neurology training at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. She undertook initial subspeciality training in Movement Disorders at Westmead Hospital, and further subspecialty training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular medicine at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Belinda continues to work at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a Consultant Neurologist, Neurophysiologist and Deputy Director of Neurology. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) and member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN).

Matthew completed his medical degree at The University of Queensland in 2015 having first qualified as a pharmacist in 2010 at the Queensland University of Technology. He was awarded a University Medal for outstanding academic results following completion of both of his undergraduate degrees. Matthew completed his Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology training in 2022 at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN).
